Prices rising again
Water bills have consistently risen at rates above inflation. On 31st January 2012 the economic regulator of the water and sewerage industry in England and Wales OFWAT announced that water bills would be increased by an average of 5.7% from April 2012. See more >>

Deregulation of the water industry?
Privatisation of the water industry was over 20 years ago, however water deregulation is years away, so we still have to buy our water from our regional water company*. The water companies have a captive market.
